Wash, Rinse, Repeat-Free Bathroom Printables

Here are the bathroom printables I promised. I have wanted to use the old phrase from the back of a shampoo bottle "wash, rinse, repeat" for quite some time now, but I was waiting for the right fonts to come along. I have fallen in love with all of the chalkboard fonts available. I think they are so fun, and they look really cool.
I found exactly what I was looking for at A Nest of Posies, and played around with the fonts until I got the prints just right. I am so excited with the results, and happy to share. They are set to print as a 5x7.
To download each print, just click on the names below.

Enjoy:o)

Cottage Style Kids' Bathroom

Last Saturday, while the hubs was hard at work in the backyard, I was wasting the day away indoors. It dawned on me that I have started SEVERAL projects over the last few months, and haven't finished ANY of them.
I decided that since hubs was working so hard, I probably should get with it, and do something myself:o) So, I finally finished the kids' bathroom.
Our kids' wipe their little paws all over the walls, and leave the paw prints behind. We needed a solution where we wouldn't be using a Magic Eraser on our walls every other day.
I had noticed a lot of magazines using horizontal boards as a wall treatment, and I knew that would be the perfect solution to our dilemma.
I happened to be in Lowes one day, and these boards were marked down significantly...and in my van they went!
I have gotten the hubs do so many wood working projects over the last 10 years, that he has gotten really proficient at it;o) Mad skills I tell ya.
He's not a fan of miter cuts, but he did a fantastic job in this bathroom!
There is a lot of storage space in this Jack and Jill bath. This closet was only holding towels, so I decided to make it into a little nook for taking shoes off.
It was full of wire shelving, so we had to rip those out and patch a lot of holes. I really like how cute it turned out. The fabric for the seat cushion and curtain came from Hobby Lobby. The basket was a Marshall's purchase.

I found this cute little hook at Hobby Lobby. They were 50% off this week, so it was around $4. This is where the kids hang their towel while taking a shower. Notice that awesome mitered corner?...mad skills..I'm telling ya, mad skills;o)

I spray painted this coat rack a metallic silver, and now it serves as a towel rack.
The art work is something I came up with. I'll share how I did it in my next post, so stay tuned!
I'm so glad to be able to check this bathroom off the list. Now to finish S.R.'s quilt, and the playroom!!

Easter Printable

Last year, I made these printables so that E could pass out favors to his class mates. Each little favor had two Peeps inside of a sandwich bag with this tag attached.
Both kids will be making these and taking them to their friends at school.

I'll share the finished bags with you all tomorrow.
Have a great Wednesday!

"Inspired" Printable Art

I was asked by a reader the other day how I decided which verses we wanted to memorize for our memory work. My response to her was that I jot down verses I hear during sermons that stick out to me. I have a little journal I take to church with me to write down notes from the sermons. If the verse strikes a chord, then I write down the entire verse.
1 Thessalonians 5:14-18 is a passage that I have been turning to regularly here lately, and I wanted to share it with you all as well.
This passage is taken from the New Living Translation:
14 Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
15 See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Last year, I made some Subway Art using the "Fruits of the Spirit". My little ole blog at the time got about 150 hits a day...the day I posted that subway art, I had over 1,000 hits. Doesn't that say something about the power of a few "inspired" words?
Today I am sharing another printable using the key words taken from the passage in 1 Thessalonians.
The words aren't exactly in the order they are in the verses, but the meaning is unchanged. I wanted them to be in the shape of a cross, hence the old switcheroo.

I changed the colors around as well, so hopefully you can find one that will match your decor. Just click on the words below the pictures, and download.
Enjoy!

Christmas Count Down

Here is a cute printable I found via Pinterest.
To print this cutie, go to Inviting Printables, and follow the link.
I am having Costco print mine out. I can't wait to get it. The kids are really going to enjoy adding "puffs" to Santa's beard!

Letters to Santa

I am getting geared up for Christmas, are you? I have all the decorations up...except for one tree. That one will go up today, hopefully. I will be sharing my trees with you very soon.
I have been scouring the internet for fun ideas to celebrate with the kids. They keep talking about their Christmas lists, and what they want Santa to bring them. I googled Letter to Santa Template, and found some really cute printable letters to Santa. Here are just a few that I found.

Mommy Chore Chart

I have some new things to share with you all this week, but no pictures yet, so stay tuned to see what I have going on.
I have a presentation for Homemaker's Club on Tuesday...25 Ways to be a Cheaper Housekeeper. Sounds exciting, huh?  Anyway, I like to have a little something to give to everyone to take home. I decided that I would make chore charts as hand outs for the girls. Most of them are grandmothers at this point, but I knew that a lot of you guys were still just mommies, so I made two different versions.
This is just a little way to break up the everyday cleaning that we do as keepers of our home. I know that I usually try to do everything in one day, and then I become crabby from pure exhaustion.
This is a tool to make things a little easier on us all.....who doesn't want that:o)
If you will notice, I gave you "The Lord's Day" off;o)
Click on the links below, to download your chore chart.

Hopefully this can ease the frustration of cleaning house!

Summer Printable

Summer break is just days away, and I wanted to give E the chance to hand out a little something special to all of his buds at school.
I stopped by Walmart and browsed their party section last night. There isn't much to choose from, but they did have these cute little guitar necklaces with bubbles inside. They are $2 for a 4-pack.
Here's what he will be handing out:

And if you are interested in this printable,

We are going to eat lunch with E today, and he really excited:o)
Looking forward to making his day!!!

New Free Easter Printable

Two posts today...weird I know. I am in the middle of helping with E's Easter party, and I had a free printable I wanted to share with you. This is sort of a last minute thing. The other day I ran across THIS post over at Joy Ever After. She had this really cute idea using peeps, and tags. I thought, PERFECT! We can use these printables as party favors for all of the little ones. But then I realized it was for the cards and not the tags that were available for printing:o(
So I just spent the last little bit making these.

They are similar, and they will definitely do the trick.
To download this printable, go
I'll share the little baggies that we are attaching these tags to tomorrow.
Update...
You can find a picture of how we used these tags

Free 'Thank You' Notes Printables

Mommies usually get left out when it comes to party favors. Let's face it, mommies get left out of a lot of things. They are the ones who go shopping for the gifts, get everyone dressed, and cart the little ones to the parties. So I want to make sure that they have a little something to take with them to show that we appreciate them making the effort to be at the party.
I'll share what's in them later on. I still want it to be a surprise for the mothers who will be attending:o)

I tried my hand at a little printable action yesterday.
These are the 'Thank You' notes that we will be sending out after the birthday party.
Are you impressed with my computer skills? This took FO-EVUH to make. Because I got no skillz.
You can download this FREE printable
And here are the 'Thank You' tags for the party favor bags.
To download these, click
The circles can either be cut out by hand or you can use a 2" circle punch to cut them out.
Let me know if there are any issues with downloading.
Happy Printing:o)

Spiritual Subway Art

This is the time of year when we all reflect on who we are as a person. We look at who we have become, for better or for worse, and think about how we arrived at our current state. If for worse, we usually make a New Year's resolution to better ourselves in the coming year...lose weight, make more money, be a nicer person, etc. Resolutions are great in theory, but they usually are only carried out in the first 2 weeks of the year.
I chose not to make any resolutions this year. We have jumped on the weight loss train, but only b/c we are too cheap and too stubborn to go out and buy bigger clothes. That's a good thing, right?
Anyway, in my last post I talked of a few changes that would be made on this blog. Things that I hope you will find beneficial.
I feel like the abilities that have been given to me are a gift. A wonderful blessing from God. I have invited you all into my home(virtually, that is) and shared my ideas on crafting, home decor, and everyday life. The one thing I haven't shared with you all is my undying love for our God. He is the reason that I have these abilities, and I have failed miserably in giving Him the glory.
I am only able to reach a few thru this blog, but I want to use this opportunity to share the good news of the Lord. This will still remain a "crafty mommy blog." However, there will be a lot more mention of our Heavenly Father. I make no apologies for this, whatsoever.

I love all the Subway Art that is out in blog land right now. I have seen a lot that had to do with all the holidays, but I hadn't seen one that was spiritual. Well now there is:o)
weird coloring, bad lighting, I know....sorry!
I have needed this verse desperately, which is found in Galatians 5:22-23. I have been a bear here lately and I blame it on the holidays...they have been WONDERFUL, but I am so ready for normalcy. (I put self-inflicted stress and pressure on myself to have the perfect gift for everyone. Crazy, I know. So, that is why I am glad that it is January  and not December:o)

This frame was purchased from Hobby Lobby. This is what it looked like before:

I found it in the clearance section forever ago. I think I paid around $6 for it?? Anyway, I gave it the same treatment that I did to THIS old picture frame.
The hubs helped me get all the lettering just right (thanks, MY LOVE) and now I can share it with you all!
(I have changed it to a jpeg file, so hopefully it will be easier for you guys!!)
To download, just go HERE.
I hope that you enjoy it and that it helps put your day into perspective:o)
Happy Monday!
